The dollar amount for a refund.
Let’s say a customer bought ten retail cups and wanted to return six of them. We’re being told if the refund is over a certain amount, we have to get the SM or tell the customer they have to come back when the SM is there.

I think you'd have to ask your SM. I've never heard of this rule, but I've also never dealt with anyone returning more than one cup. Sorry!

what kind of reason would you need to return 6 cups? theres no way all of them are broken.

Probably didn’t have as much resell value as they thought they would.

idk if theres a certain dollar amount but anything worth more than 50ish i think would warrant a manager. obviously if it seems sus i would call a manager but even if the amount is a little high i think its fair enough for you to make the executive decision when to accept a return and when not to. also if anybody wants money back in a different payment method that should also warrant a manager. especially people who paid with card that ask for cash refunds.

I was told if it’s over $25 then you need the manager and it’s gonna be on store credit. I think it does depend on your manager though. My manager said it’s because you don’t want to be pulling anything over $25 from your tills, you’re putting yourself in danger by having all that cash out. He also explained if you do end up completing that transaction and say you’re till now needs change then you’re revealing who the key holder is at your store unintentionally. They could be targeted because they now know who to look at to give them access to the safe/tills.
