Just wanted to remind everyone and let those who didn't know, have the info This the last week for benefit audit hours! Currently still required at 450 for the period. Check your total on Partner Central. Be careful giving up hours this week if you are cutting it close! Good luck to all!!
In better news it's 40 percent off week!

so stressed about this. i started working in august i get about 20 hours usually but last few weeks hours have been tight. i just got enrolled w the insurance and all that and it's VITAL to me (life saving) because of the gender affirming stuff and i'm already signed up to start laser on jan 10th but i have this sick feeling i'm going to just be short and my insurance will be denied.

and i can't check from home because partner central gets all kinds of securities errors for me and won't load on my home pc
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]12 points6m ago
new hires/newly insuranced are calculated differently..
if you just got signed up you may not be audited until the July audit.
idonthinksoannie3 points6m ago
Confirmed you do not need to meet the benefit hours number in the first cycle you're enrolled
Veloci-Tractor3 points6m ago
god i hope so

I had the same issue with getting on partner central but i used my google chrome on my phone and i went to a website someone linked on here maybe a few months ago I think but try going to your browser and typing in partnercentral.starbucks.com. I clicked links to it a few times before that and it was always giving me issues. But then i went to my browser and specifically typed in that website and it worked fine! Definitely try that if u haven't already!

I got bottom surgery on SB insurance in April sis, out for 12 weeks with Sedgwick paying my insurance.i struggled to make the 450 bi quarterly with another job, but it CAN BE DONE. Just keep on top of your hours. And use your sick time if you need to pad it.
I ended up paying 5-6k OOP with tests/hospital stay/surgery itself, rather than 15k-20k I've heard from others. SB can be brutal, but that benefit was worth it.
I put up with SO MUCH DAILY SHIT from customers, weirdo regulars, and our jacked-up store.. but if you need GA surgeries, it still seems solid. Call the Benefits Center, get ahold of a Care Coordinator, get letter/s, get on a waiting list, do your DD, make sure you surgeon is covered, figure out OOP, schedule your LoA 90 days out minimum, and remember, supplemental isn't there anymore, and stuff may have changed since October. Get straight answers, and don't take no.
It can be done. I did it. And it gets so much better. 💖
May the Odds be Ever in Your Favor. 😘

Anyone who is cutting it close don't forget that sick and vacation hours count towards your total if you have any available that you can use to put you over the mark. It sucks to have to use them when you don't really need to but it's better than losing benefits in some cases.
shabalaba011 points6m ago
do they automatically add them to your total or do you actually have to use your sick hours for them to contribute to your total? i’m at like 439 hours but have like almost 40 sick hours
idonthinksoannie1 points6m ago
They are never automatically added you have to request them to be used. It's in the punch log the same place you write if you couldn't clock in. The directions are at the top of the page.

I thought it was 520?
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]5 points6m ago
still maintaining 450. (whew!) July audit will be back to 520. per the partner benefits websites
transzalore2 points6m ago
They said 520 for January too, I think they caved due to union pressures. No guarantees, but I started sobbing when I heard it went back down to 450.
idonthinksoannie2 points6m ago
Was in the 12/5 weekly update too. And they made it clear that this was the last period with a reduced quota so know that for next time.
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]1 points6m ago
so terrified for that July audit!! I bounce between 15 and 26 hours but that only got me to 460 this go round 😰
Both-Bite-12122 points6m ago
ohhh awesome. thanks!
saltandseasmoke2 points6m ago
After missing a few shifts due to covid, I'm gonna end the audit period at like... 459 hours lol, so close to the line it's TERRIFYING.
LY-_-1 points6m ago
Wait what happens if we don’t hit those hours?
spicyychorizo1 points6m ago
You get an email telling you that and that you’ll lose your benefits on a specific day… I got mine a week and a half after the date they specified lmao I had quit so I knew it was coming but on another occasion it happened even though I didn’t have benefits, I only went through part of the application to look at it so it was very… strange
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]1 points6m ago
You lose qualifying benefits :(
luvloping1 points6m ago
If I had insurance, then dropped it, do I need to hit 450 again to qualify?
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]1 points6m ago
Yes but check the benefits plan description (U.S.) for specific info. Things can vary by state and specifically Haiwaii has different rules
the only other way to re-establish outside that would be life changes (marriage, having a child, etc..)
R1P2MYOUTH1 points6m ago
im stressed, i just got rehired last month and had to take extra time off after a seizure :( so many people have been getting fired lately im terrified
edit to add: its quite literally impossible! really hope they give me the benefit of the doubt. i JUST started again and then had a medical emergency, i'll be devastated if i get let go for that ugh
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]2 points6m ago
the audits don't deal with termination or coaching, but with qualifying & unqualifying for insurance
new hires don't get audited either & if you were on LoA I believe there is an allowance counted toward the quota of hours needed for benefits
These-Imagination9951 points6m ago
what does this mean? why is it important ? thank u in advance!!
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]1 points6m ago
audit of hours twice a year is done by corporate to discontinue benefits if your hours worked in 6 months falls below their quota.
it's currently 450 hours July it returns to 520.
thus applies to the benefits we qualify for, not standard
health insurance vs Lyra/spotify
chicken-tiddies1 points6m ago
Do you perhaps remember the website we use for that to check? I can't remember and Google isn't my friend 😞
Alarming_Base3148 [OP]2 points6m ago
you can also find your hours worked under partner central
