The same people cheering on those to walk out and not give a two-week notice are the same ones to bitch about everything.

>not give a two-week notice

It's bizarre to me that you would complain about this. The company doesn't give you two weeks notice before firing you. Why are you pretending like it's normal for workers to give a courtesy that is absolutely not returned by employers? Wild.
Mr_SCPF 26 points 6m ago
Because when I do this I’m not thinking about helping out my managers, I’m thinking about my partners. God forbid you go out of your way to help improve the partner experience.
MrsClaireUnderwood 30 points 6m ago
It's unfortunate that you would blame a partner for leaving a company that continually has shown to abuse its employees then be indignant about your experience when the root of all of it comes from Starbucks the corporation lol.

downvote me all you want, but boiling the critique of employee-employer relations and power inbalances in america down to how it makes you personally feel is immature and naive.

2 week notices arent always possible, sometimes people need to quit immediately due to different circumstances

edit to add: 2 week notices are obviously the best thing to do for fellow partners and i recommend it, it's just unfortunately not always an option

welcome to having a job. almost every job you will give a notice if ur quitting and they will not give you one if youre being fired, because ideally you are being fired for doing something very wrong

Thank you for explaining the status quo. I already know how it works, thanks.

Lol they fired 4 partner at my store in a week before Christmas 💀they fkg dont care we’re rushing as hell but I would never blame a partner for leaving without a 2weeks notice cause it’s not their fault that we’re short staff, it’s starbucks that need to do something about it 🤷
Nigee_Ogee 3 points 6m ago
Man f Starbucks lol. They would drop you without even a 1 week notice. Who cares if someone didn’t put their two weeks in.

i agree with you entirely idk why theyre pissed. its a courtesy, dont burn bridges. it may be shitty at points but its still a job and it requires a smidge of professionalism
