The pay rate difference between a barista and ssv is 27%. A base rate for a barista is $15, the base rate for ssv is 19.06. You only get a trainer bonus for each person you train, and it’s a baseline bonus for each person not an hourly bonus. If you have more questions I’m happy to answer them.

Where I live base pay for barista is actually more than $15, since $15 is actually under minimum wage here - DM said our percentage gap is 16% between starting barista/shift; and I currently make 10 cents less than what a starting shift makes. I know the bonus isn’t hourly/consistent, but if I compare my reg average hours including 1 bonus to what my ssv wage is going to be, I’m essentially making like $20-$30 more as a shift in one pay period, which doesn’t seem appropriate considering I’d be taking on a whole lot of responsibility

No worries!
This is incorrect overall though. Regardless of the base pay, ssv pay is a set increase. If your start pay is $100 the ssv pay is still 27% increase as long as you are a corporate store.

Hmm that’s interesting, I’m not sure why I was told the gap is 16% then. And sorry, I meant the $100 Barista Training Bonus.

The training bonus is not $100. Definitely look at your pay stubs and see what you are actually making.
