It sounds like a series of unfortunate events, but not necessarily targeted. DM sounds like they werent diplomatic with their response which sucks, but then in a seperate situation yall were affected by an across the board drop in labor (me too in NY, very busy, lost significant hours). Im not saying this doesnt make either of these things right, but I dont think youll be able to come to a resolution by going the retaliation route.
My advice for developement, Ive found to get on the radar you have to initiate those conversations consistently, follow up on your progress, and always look for ways to hone your leadership skills. Theres plenty of resources on partnerhub.
My advice for labor is..... uh... stay strong? When your SM asks how youre doing, be honest. The amount of times ive been "Good, but tired. My last shift was pretty challenging. I felt like an extra hand on the floor wouldve been really helpful during (this specific daypart.)" Sometimes my SM ignored me, sometimes they would try it(3 weeks out because thats how they schedule), but in all honesty it doesnt last. At least Im getting my perspective out there.
