submitted by Princess-Starfire103
I apologize in advance if this doesn’t make sense but i’ll do my best…. So i’m trying to make a plans to go to an anime con with friends this next year during february 2023 But i’m having trouble trying to see how I can request time off without any problem going to the anime con and it’s during the weekend too but i haven’t made a a schedule for myself due to due to figuring out school
and just going through a grieving process as well i’ve been very overwhelmed and thinking so hard about it on planning without any complete any advice or ideas on what to do would greatly be appreciated!

To request time off, you can go into the schedule app we use, and there should be an icon with an umbrella that says 'Time Off'!! When you go to that, there's a lil + sign in the upper right hand corner, and you can pick the days, and submit the request! :))

If you have the app on your phone here's the flow process for requesting time off.

`Open App >`

`From buttom 4 buttons, select "Time Off" (Umbrella Icon) >`

`In top right corner, click the plus >`

`Select all day from top two options >`

`Navigate to Febuary on the calander using "Next" and "Prev" Buttons on either side of the month title >`

`Tap the day the con starts >`

`Tap the day it ends >`

`Click on Type >`

`Select "Time Off" (Likely the only option it gives you) >`

`Depending on your SM you can leave the comment blank, or add something to the effect of "Attending special event with friends" >`

`Hit the large "Request Time Off" Button at the bottom of the page >`

`And await to receive Notification if it's been approved or denied!`

When it comes to the actual planning though, that gets a touch more tricky.Take your time with it, you have time before cutoffs for time off in Jan start coming.I find sometimes printing off a physical calendar sheet and sketching things out on there can be really helpful. Especially if you're someone who works well with visual and physical aids.

It also sounds like you're in a rough life time, if you have people you can, reach out, make sure you're being supported, grief is hard, so you don't have to go at it alone.

Take a breath, realize you have time, and cut yourself some slack.
