Hey everyone! Today was my first ever opening shift (my 12th day overall) and I really like it so far! I make myself coffee at home all the time and it’s been so cool learning how to do it “professionally” 🤣 I’ve been making my home coffee like how I’ve been learning and it honestly does make a difference! My store has a drive through and it’s so fun talking to everyone :) I started at 4:30am this morning, it’s now almost 6:30 and it’s been a good time so far. I’ve made a few friends so far so that’s been nice.

everyone seems so nice, I’ve been thanked for working hard a few times :) I just did customer support today but I really like the drive thru and making drinks!

That's awesome. My store is so great at thanking eachother. The first couple times I was like "??? I'm supposed to do this thing."
I'm used to it and I appreciate it so much when I'm having a crappy day.
3 of my shifts are huge on positive reinforcement so they go around their entire shift showering us with "You're all killing it today. You're doing the lords work,my dear. You're doing so great on bar/drive/cs!"

I’m so glad you’re enjoying yourself. The first few months of the job are the most challenging & it says a lot about you that you enjoy working the floor & with other partners. I’m sure you’re a pleasure to be around!

aw thank you! I am very much a people person, I’m actually also a nurse so I’ve been in a few crazy and interesting situations 😅 not working as one full time right now because I’m back in school to get my bachelor’s in nursing.. right now I just have my associates degree. I was thinking about still working at SB maybe 1-2 days a week after I graduate but who knows! This place got me through my RN degree, the least I could do is work here now lol
The other day, this guy came to the drive thru and he wasn’t very nice but tbh you just gotta brush it off because you never know what’s going on with other people :) just give them the benefit of a doubt and be a listening ear (if needed) you know.
My coworker was like “you’re nicer than I would’ve been” girl 🤣
Customer support is okay, when I first started it was my fav but now that I’ve done pretty much everything else it’s not as fun now 😂 my favorite now would have to be drive thru orders!

I love doing DTO as well! That’s awesome you’re working the whole fooor love that for you! Keep it up you’re doing amazing things!! Merry Christmas, don’t let the bad customers get to you, you’re too cool to deal with that❤️🎄

hey!! you’ll be okay 🤗 so first you’ll arrive about 30 mins before SB opens to the public, and you will:
- take stock of the breakfast sandwiches/wraps/lunch sandwiches and put them in the fridge and set up display cases
- make vanilla sweet cream, make frappuccino base, and restock mocha + apple crisp sauces
- my handle any mobile/drive thru/cafe orders that come in
I believe that was pretty much it! oh and start brewing the pike/dark/blonde roast coffees.
