Definitely report and follow up with your SM. If something isn’t done you are empowered to escalate to your DM.

Yes!!! This

I would report it. I know that it can be awkward at first doing the credit card tipping, but if they have had several opportunities to correct their behavior and aren’t, I would report it. They’re knowingly holding you and other partners from tips, especially in the holiday season when people are more inclined to tip already.

Direct violation of company policy. We're not allowed to select an option for them. Definitely report them

The *only* option you’re allowed to choose is “no thank you”.
Blocked_ID 3 points 6m ago
but you’re only allowed to choose for them if for some reason they’re unable to choose for themselves.

Definitely report to your manager. This is a fireable offense, so the sooner it's rectified, the better. Or they'll be fired.

Definitely report this. We’re 100% not allowed to press credit card reader buttons

same situation in my store!! except she’s a shift and yells at us when we do it too 🙃

Report it to the sm, if they do nothing, report it to the dm, it’s a direct violation of company policy

Not overreacting. That’s everyone’s money at your store.

The only time I clicked no thank you was when this really old lady could not comprehend the process of credit tipping. Looked at me like I had 15 heads when I handed her the card reader. I tried explaining it to her and she was not getting it and got more confused and we needed to end the transaction.

saw one of my fellow partners doing this today. they were keeping the prompter inside and taking customers cards??? i should've called it out, but im a new transfer and didnt wanna seem like im overstepping 😅

At first I used to do this bc I didn’t know and I was coming back from not working for a few months since living at college. But I saw a post about it and I definitely stopped doing it. It’s awkward but people do tip on CC. Today, this lady said merry Christmas and I saw that she tipped $5. Other people tipped $5 on cc but then people also tipped $20 in cash tips. For someone who comes home on the weekend to work, it’s nice getting something a little extra! Especially during the Christmas season, ppl are tipping wayy more !!!

I thought cc tips went 100% to us
BigDillLadyPickle 3 points 6m ago
It is literally not aloud for us to press any of those buttons unless we have the customers consent. Also just quit putting them on drive then.

You are NOT overreacting and the SAME FREAKING THING is happening to me. Like, if ur that uncomfortable with the system just look away when they put in the tip( or no tip)because I am losing out on 50+ bucks because of u
Sea_Ad_7424 3 points 6m ago
That’s wage theft!!! They can’t do that
Creative-Clothes-520 1 points 6m ago
If I’m on solo drive and it’s busy and we’re wrapping up a line I’ll push them through as no tip too but I feel guilty and I’ll toss my cash tips back in the jar to compensate for any shortcuts I took to stop myself from drowning all shift
