Coaching or get written up for giving away shifts (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m wondering if any of you gets written up or gets coaching for giving away shifts that’s covered.
As far as i know i thought it wouldn’t be a problem as long as the shifts that i’m trying to give away are covered but somehow i ended up getting written up/coaching

I guess it depends on who you’re giving it too and that’s why giving away shifts and shift swaps are supposed to have manager approval.
Like giving a shift to someone who is going to go Into over time. Or giving an opening or closing shift to someone who’s never opened or closed before so you’re essentially a person down since they have to be unexpectedly trained on the spot.

It still follows the time and attendance policy, so yes, you can be written up for it.
