I also live in a culdesac and I’m supposed to be in to open tomorrow at 4. The snow is just now starting here and more than likely the roads will be worse at my scheduled time off than my scheduled time in. I have a old car with no 4 wheel drive and low to the ground. We got 1/4 inch of rain so there will definitely be ice. I’m not looking forward to trying to work with the window tomorrow during -25 wind chills. I also do not understand who will be trying to get coffee at 5 am during a winter storm warning with all that snow blowing around. So personally for me there is a very high chance I will be calling off. We already had one girl tonight say there is no way she will be able to make it in tomorrow. It is ridiculous that there not closing our stores down when other businesses are. Your safety is the most important. If you wake up tomorrow and look outside and just don’t think it’s a good idea don’t try, just call off. It is very unlikely your get in trouble for that. If the weather is that bad there will more than likely be multiple people calling off and your manager should be prepared for that. Just remember at then end of the day your life is more important than the job so please don’t do anything you are uncomfortable with.

Does your store give you a stipend towards rideshare? Trying to find out how much they give you and what the limits are (like so they give it every shift you’re scheduled or if you work 5x a week do they only cover 3? Etc)
