i kinda saw it coming. i was 45 minutes late to my opening shift bc i slept in and i was already on a final. i live 25 minutes away from my store so i was gonna be late no matter what. but the kicker is that i got separated bc i didn’t call the store. i tried calling 4 times at 3:57 am and i had to be there at 4. i didn’t get a response. i get there and realize i had been calling my dentist office the whole time instead of the store and i had no idea. simple human error. then get separated the next day after driving all the way to work in a snow storm and then had to drive all the way back home in a snow storm. i understand why i got separated, i do, but also it was a stupid mistake and i’ve never been late besides one other time 2 months ago. my store is also very much going downhill it seems like and maybe i dodged a bullet? anyways kinda glad i’m not a breaking my back for the siren anymore just to get my hours cut in half every week. gonna go get my nails done now:) love you all my fellow baristas and hope u all survive this holiday season loves❤️‍🔥
