It should be a 24% raise. The base rate for SSV should be 24% higher than the base barista rate where you are. Where I live the base rate for barista is $16.50, so an SSV would make a minimum of $20.46/h. I would ask for at least $21.75/h based on the info you gave.

Oh this is Canadian numbers, assume the percent would be the same. At least here managers have a little bit of leeway for wages and you can negotiate somewhat, I helped another partner who got promoted negotiate a higher wage. But I also feel like they give us a lot more leeway with lots of stuff

Yep, I asked about that as well directly to my DM and was told they no longer negotiate pay and that it’s all on the scale.
