Working my first New Years Day this year, how bad/busy is it, usually? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Basically as the title says. I just also worked my first Christmas Eve, and that was a 2 person shift+close, so I can't... imagine it'll be worse than THAT, but on average, for those who have worked them, does it get pretty bad? I only work 3:45 to close, so I won't be dealing with any of the morning party scragglers(if that's even a thing..)

Tbh I don’t think i’ve ever worked new year’s eve, so I couldn’t tell you how that is. Im assuming it would be slow if your store is open into the evening, but most stores usually close around 5 or 6. In my experience, new year’s day is busy in the morning/afternoon and then it dies down. Once again, stores usually close early so it might be busier than a normal close but it depends on the store.

we close early on new years eve but new years day it seems like normal hours since im there till 9:30
