“Hi I recently submitted an application and wanted to reach out and check if your store was hiring at the moment.” Real simple and will get you a quick yes or no.

The hiring manager is the store manager, and you have the same idea as everyone who applies to that store.

If they’re in need of people, they’ll check the applications. It can help to call but probably not guaranteed that you’ll get the job.
It also depends on your availability, having a completely open availability increases your chances, but ultimately, i’d just look for other jobs while your looking for this one, keep your options open and expansive.

TLDR: It doesn’t hurt to call, but it probably won’t help very much either, goodluck.

If you want to, just call the store and ask for a manager. Be like “hey I applied and was wondering about my application” or something. Just a warning, everyone’s hours are being cut ☹️. Good luck to ya soldier 🫡

Unfortunately Starbucks has a deal with several job placement agencies so they advertise job openings when there are none. They’re making heavy cuts to all of our hours and you’re unlikely to get more than 5-10 at any store. It might be better to wait if Starbucks specifically is a dream for you. Or apply at a licensed store. But corporate probably isn’t calling because the local store probably doesn’t have hours for new partners.
