how in trouble will i get? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by sadlyliss
i called in at 9 pm to let my store know that even if i open, i live in a hole so my driveway will be inescapable because it's snowing and it'll ice
(i'm a new driver so like 😟)
my mom already told me she didn't want me going but that i really can't physically go if my driveway ices (and it probably will)
will i get in trouble? i'm just afraid of driving on ice (i live in the south so i've been practically trained that it's the worst thing ever) and i'm not the best driver out there (i've already threw my car in a ditch fr)
also my state is in state of emergency rn so idk if that counts for anything !

Don’t put yourself in peril for this job. It’s not worth it as a new driver to try driving on ice in the an

yeah it was scary as shit and i slid twice and there's ice all around the store itself and i fr was just hoping i wouldn't slide off the bridge that i had to cross 😭😭

Don't call out for "weather", call out for being "sick." If your mom is telling you she doesn't want you to go, call and lie. Can't get fired for throwing up

You really shouldn’t get in trouble, if you cant physically leave it would be a silly thing to get in trouble for, especially if your state is in a state of emergency

ended up going in anyway cus i was afraid of getting fired 😟 my car did slide on ice like two times and i was fr fighting for my life but i made it there in once piece thankfully
