No one is talking about the raises? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by yvesagain
I didn't even know we were getting them, I just randomly came across a post saying to check partner central. Lo and behold, I got a huge raise effective 12/26. Don't wanna say exactly how much lest it's a mistake (lol) but it is over 5%, and I'm a barista of less than 5 months. I don't know if the amount I got is the norm for everyone, but check your partner centrals!
voxinx 65 points 6m ago
happens every year so that’s why it’s not a huge surprise to most
yvesagain [OP] 26 points 6m ago
Ahh, that makes sense. I'm still shocked my raise was so high though, I guess I was thinking more people would be talking about it
c0caine_cinderella 17 points 6m ago
5% aint a lot
chicken-tiddies 38 points 6m ago
I feel like, if you came from any other fast food job to this fast food job, and you're getting a 5% raise, it's kinda a big deal lol.
c0caine_cinderella 8 points 6m ago
It’s 5 cents on the dollar
nicolelynnejones 7 points 6m ago
most places 5% is a huge amount. a lot of retailers i worked at you’d get like 6 cents per year if you passed your annual review ofc. obviously base pay for baristas should be higher but in the service industry 5% is significant
saltandseasmoke 5 points 6m ago
Yeah I'm working a full time desk job in addition to Starbucks and the only time I've gotten a raise there is when I earned a promotion (and it's at a major media company that could absolutely afford to pay us more lol). 5% may not be stunning, but it's more than I was expecting and I'm honestly pleased.
badbaristuh 2 points 6m ago
damn. left sbux for TJs earlier this year and my raise potential more than doubled, to now about 11% w/o promoting. 5% is *something* but it’s really not a lot and I wish that wasn’t seen as an exceptional amount of extra money to be earning
yvesagain [OP] 5 points 6m ago
I got way over 5%, as stated in my post. Don't want to say how much but ball park, it was over 10%
Bhaisaab86 1 points 6m ago
Yeah, mine was like 11.88%. Weird percent for a raise, but I’m okay with it.
Jaded_Fun_7133 1 points 6m ago
Is partner central only on the iPads at work
Beefman453 2 points 6m ago
It really isn’t especially when we pay $15 starting and the fast food places in town pay $17-$18 starting
IOnlyhave5_i_s 2 points 6m ago
Is it tied to your State/City minimum wage increase. They’re quite high in parts of the US.
Suspicious-Crystal 29 points 6m ago
Where do you check in partner central? I don't show any rate of pay, let alone a raise!
International_News93 4 points 6m ago
Partnercentral.Starbucks.com
Go to your profile
Go down to pay statements
Suspicious-Crystal 2 points 6m ago
Oh. I still make the same as I have since I started early last year. 🤷‍♀️
yvesagain [OP] 4 points 6m ago
Not at my computer but I believe it's partner central > my profile > compensation
Suspicious-Crystal 3 points 6m ago
:( I don't have that
miffyluvr 13 points 6m ago
oh wow i got a 3% raise 😐
Blocked_ID 4 points 6m ago
Same 😭
Professional-Cat393 10 points 6m ago
Cool, I got 4% as a 3 year partner.
potterlyfe 16 points 6m ago
Yup. Green beans wages were being raise higher then tenured partners to keep up with minimum wage while I got the standard 2%. By the time I quit I was making .16 cents more then a new hire as a 9 year partner. It’s bullshit.
AceSolieri 9 points 6m ago
Wow thanks for posting this I wouldn’t have noticed for days
cryingincanada 9 points 6m ago
I think this might just be a US thing because I checked partner central and there was nothing on mine. (Canadian Partner)
GhostfaceJK 2 points 6m ago
same
Beneficial-Amount623 7 points 6m ago
Mine went up 45 cent
BeardiesRule112 7 points 6m ago
I went from 16.28 to 16.93, after 4 years. Not even a full dollar 😹
YamPuzzleheaded1746 5 points 6m ago
I went from 15.95 to 17 and I’m a 6 month partner
BeardiesRule112 1 points 6m ago
Nice!
ittybittybakerkitty 6 points 6m ago
Other jobs I had it was 3% so I'm just gonna take it and say thank you 😅
RoughEvidence 6 points 6m ago
Am I the only one whose pay rate says $0.00 and I’ve been with the company for a year and a half and I get paychecks
chexsmix96 1 points 6m ago
That pretty much never updates..was there for 7 years and it still says $0
perfectsizzle 4 points 6m ago
I’m shook I started at $15.50 literally 2 months ago (SoCal) and now I’m at $16.75?? Which is a comically low wage but still, a $1.25 raise is awesome
yayannapav 1 points 6m ago
I’m also in SoCal, how long have you worked for starbucks if you don’t mind me asking. I got a 50 cent raise to $16.45
perfectsizzle 2 points 6m ago
My official hire date was October 19
yayannapav 2 points 6m ago
Oh wow I have been there for over a year 😭
photo_rain 4 points 6m ago
I dont know- with the labor cuts going on- almost everyone I know is making less than what they were before the huge pay raise increase this last summer… and now they are cutting labor more…
dcoul27 3 points 6m ago
Your SM is supposed to have pay conversations w everyone to let them know what their new pay is, when it’s starting, and what determines it.
Nalin90 3 points 6m ago
A whole 5% but inflation is almost 8% so I make even less now compared to cost of living.
b99__throwaway 2 points 6m ago
mine was 3% lmao
Nalin90 4 points 6m ago
And we're supposed to be grateful for the table scraps they're throwing us
miacrayon 3 points 6m ago
Yippie I got a 60 cent raise. Not even enough to add a shot to my drink… fuck this company.
WallyBBunny 3 points 6m ago
As a side question, do we get a raise on our hiring date too? Or just the once annually?
Spinelise 1 points 6m ago
Just the one at the end of the year unfortunately!
canidieyet_ 3 points 6m ago
does it show how much your new wage is? i was trying to see what mine is now but i can’t find it
saltandseasmoke 3 points 6m ago
Go to partner central, then My Profile, then scroll down to compensation - it'll list your current hourly wage there
canidieyet_ 1 points 6m ago
thank you!!
No-Pearl000 2 points 6m ago
you’re only supposed to get a 5% raise if you’ve been here for 5+ years i believe. you shouldn’t be getting a raise at all, so it’s definitely a mistake
lifeasabun 2 points 6m ago
oh wow i went from 21 to 22.35
suneimi 2 points 6m ago
Lol, credit card tipping rolled out and I also got a hefty raise, right *after* I finally resolved to quit (taking a LOA right now to rest and regroup). It made me hesitate for a hot minute, but my mental and physical well-being are more important and they’ve declined a great deal over the past year. ACA came through with my insurance for next year, so I’m no longer healthcare cuffed to the Bux, thank goodness. I’m sure I can find something else at a comparable wage, even taking the raise into account. Plus I may actually have more energy to pursue my creative endeavors. SBux was supposed to be the *side gig with benefits* but it just ate me alive… [6 yr partner]
Magnumxl711 2 points 6m ago
I went from 16.35 to 17 an hour, kinda mid but better than nothing
Violet4Anime 2 points 6m ago
I got a 3% raise so I'm at $15.45
geekgurl81 1 points 6m ago
Same, 11mo partner in the midwest
luv_u_bb 1 points 6m ago

tulip_problems 1 points 6m ago
It’s not a raise. The tips being charged via card are going into your paycheck.
Snarfungus 1 points 6m ago
i asked my shift yesterday, and they said that every january we get some kind of raise. they said it may be a small one since we all just got the raise to 15$
g_pvp_3 1 points 6m ago
my district is getting a raise from 15 something (most of us make 15+) to 17.25 i think it’s effective 12/26. im in MA
yvesagain [OP] 1 points 6m ago
Do you know why it's like that in MA? That's where I am
Badattitude-366 1 points 6m ago
I’m a shift but barista at our store went to $16
Both-Selection-5302 1 points 6m ago
New baristas star out at 15 now
Both-Selection-5302 1 points 6m ago
We all get three % in January I think. Plus we got that big one I think a couple of months ago
Both-Selection-5302 1 points 6m ago
I started out at 12 I think.
Both-Selection-5302 1 points 6m ago
We all got one , new baristas got we got a percentage. ✌️
kittykaty14 1 points 6m ago

Ajskdjurj 1 points 6m ago
I got a 4% raise as a 3 year partner but I make more the $23 a hour as shift sooo I’m not complaining.
VictorianLibra22 1 points 6m ago
Can I ask what state you’re in? Guessing CA, NY, WA, or IL?
Ajskdjurj 2 points 6m ago
Ny
HarleySpicedLatte 1 points 6m ago
Can someone remind me if it's universal and everyone get 5%?
Ajskdjurj 1 points 6m ago
It depends how long you have been with the company. I’ve been 3 years and I got like a 4% raise.
kale_chipss 1 points 6m ago
where on partner central do you see this? just so i can take a looksies 🫣

How do they determine how high your raise is?
