How to Enjoy Drinks on a Limited Caffeine intake? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Ew_Oxygen1124
Being a partner with caffeine as a migraine trigger SUUUUUUCKS because anything with more than like 80mg usually renders me bedridden for a day and a half. It’s really bad. Any other caffeine-free/caffeine sensitive partners with good recommendations? I’m getting tired of my blended lemonades with strawberry purée and peach juice :(

Can you just do decaf lattes?

Sometimes, but it still gives me headaches.

Iced caramel apple spice!! The real build is cold juice, syrup, drizzle and whip, but I like to add ice and cinnamon dolce topping.

I also really love making a mint majesty tea to ice down and mixing it with the watermelon evolution juice and maybe some syrup if you like it extra sweet.

If you want something hot I would say white hot chocolate with half white mocha and half toffee nut, with one pump of chai (little bit of caffeine days)!

A nice warm drink to have is a peach tranquility with WM and steamed milk of choice! I like oatmilk because it tastes like peaches and cream oatmeal. Mint maj is also pretty good with some almond milk and honey. Both of these can be brewed in advance and chilled in your partner fridge if you’d like them full-flavor and iced :)

I was about to recommend the peach tranq with wm and milk too!! A yummy warm treat!

I like to make ponyo’s honey milk!
I personally just steam oat milk with cinnamon steamed in, and some honey packets and maybe a little bit of SF vanilla for flavor without making it super sweet.
Sometimes I make it tea latte with earl grey or royal English :)

Does matcha give you headaches?
skylikeslemonade 2 points 6m ago
honey milk w earl grey sounds AMAZING

Matcha, not usually but that’s probably because I don’t really drink it. It’s not my favorite but I’m open minded.

Okay okay try a hot matcha latte with Oatmilk and like 1 or 2 scoops of vanilla bean powder
caitlin_marie_gg 3 points 6m ago
iced teas, refreshers, decaf espresso, chocolate milk all have less than 80mg
Ew_Oxygen1124 [OP] 2 points 6m ago
Any amount gives me a headache, just more than that can be really bad for me
caitlin_marie_gg 1 points 6m ago
ohhh ok

I personally like the Passion Tango with no water~
Otherwise I make shaken chocolate milk, watered down black tea with peach.
I haven’t tried: Caramel apple spice but I’ve been told iced and hot are both tasty.
You can do any of the creme fraps or hot steamers

I make all my drinks with decaf espresso. I hate caffeine crash. Also a good Venti ice water would help on the side. Or you can just get a good ole hot chocolate with the weather at the moment.

use the old recipe though the vanilla makes it SO much better
limeoutlaw 2 points 6m ago
When I really like customers I will tell them this because it is LIFE GIVING with the vanilla

I had to go like 3 months with no caffeine. I really like the Passion tango with lemonade (and sometimes raspberry). The caramel apple spice with no drizzle is yummy too. Steamers if you want to try the flavors without coffee. Frappucinos, creme based.

We actually offer so much caffeine free stuff!

I know, I guess I just need new ideas, im getting tired of what I’ve tried

i second the passion tea! it's good with lemonade or peach juice, goes well with raspberry too (but not all of those at once, it's too much), and you could probably add the strawberry pieces into it as well for a little bit more fun.

if you wanted to deal with iced brewed teas you could do mint majesty, iced with some raspberry or a small splash of strawberry acai (which im sure you know has caffeine, but the flavor itself is concentrated enough you'd maybe be fine with just a splash in the tea so it's not too much caffeine?)

peach tranquility with either steamed lemonade or as a tea latte with coconut milk and classic is a good winter drink. if your store isnt out of it always bc of the honey citrus obsession haha.
