interview questions to expect? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Ok_Decision_2300
i have an interview at a starbucks in two days & was wondering what questions others were asked during the interview? i know it is situational based but if anyone could provide specific questions or examples that would be great! :)

i’ve been working at starbucks for well over a year, so i’m not sure if the interviews are still the same! but during mine, here are some examples of questions i got asked:

“tell me about a time where you experienced teamwork in a work or school setting”

“tell me about a time where you helped someone (in like a work setting)”

“so why do you want to work here?”

just stuff like that. at my previous job i was a waitress, and also a trainer. so i talked about how much i loved training people and helping them to grow and learn new things. i also talked about being able to handle difficult situations and fast-paced work environments! at starbucks, depending on your store location, you’re probably going to deal with a fast-paced environment and you have to be open to learning! it’s a LOT of information, especially the drink recipes and stuff like that. so just be honest and excited and it’ll go great.

- starbucks is especially big on customer connections, so they would probably love it if you included stuff like that when you’re talking to them. best of luck to you!:)

i got the same questions the other commenter did, but also a scenario of "if you made a drink for a customer and they didn't like it/said it tasted wrong, what would you do?". my answer was offer a remake or similar drink (bc you don't know if it was really made wrong or if they just don't like what they ordered) and then offering a refund if that didn't work/if they didn't want a new one.

also got asked how i connect with customers. i was like uhhh i love complimenting people's pretty painted nails! (note: i have never once done this).
