Seattle is probably at a higher minimum wage, I know that in Los Angeles county here in California has a higher minimum wage than the rest of the state.

baristas and shifts only get paid hourly; where i am in florida, baristas get $15/hr and shifts about $21/hr
firepaper3 points6m ago
I get 19.69 as a shift in south florida in central florida it’s about 21$ so it’ll change from area to area

Check the Partner Info website when you get a chance. The base pay for a lot of southwest and south Florida went up. I was at 19.05 last week and as of Monday I’m at 20.65. Annual review raises also should be coming soon so hopefully that’ll put me at a little over $25-26hr including tips. 🤞🏼((sucks tho cause I’m in the drawing for ASM and I wont get tips anymore 💔))

how much is your hourly rate?
Main_Friendship_66233 points6m ago
I just moved to the States but as a SM I get $75,679
In Mexico I started as a Barista with 250 pesos a day or about 14.70/day not per hour per day minimum 10 hours so anyone complaining about pay really dosent know what they are talking
besoinducafe0 points6m ago
Speak for yourself currently making over $75k/yr. You probably deserve more though cos we all deserve a higher wage. The barista wage even in the US is so little for the cost of living in cities. 😡 have some partner solidarity, Jesus.

TakeTheWs2 points6m ago
Can confirm. Newish (6 months) Pennsylvania barista here, make $15/hr.
Responsible_Snow71091 points6m ago
Yea if im not mistaken, i think all starbucks stores in the US made it to where new baristas all get 15 an hour to start.
