Sneaking headphones on during shift? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have been feeling really understimulated at work lately. I dread my shifts and count down the hours, even if I'm only scheduled for 5 hours. I don't mind my job, I enjoy my job, I don't even think it's boring. And I need money. My brain is just craving something more stimulating, that's the only way I can describe it
I really wanna sneak some bluetooth headphones on under my hat and listen to podcasts or something, especially if I'm on bar or warming.
Has anyone else ever done this? I've seen another barista one time with an Airpod in one ear very visibly, not sure how often they do it but I know I've seen it at least once, and I've never seen a manager confront them about it.
I want to be attentive to my team and customers but I just really would like to have some kind of engaging, thought provoking background noise.

do you have adhd or any qualifying disability? you may be able to ask for an accommodation to allow you to wear one with the volume low to help with being under-stimulated

I totally get it. No idea how you could make it work but you know how chill your store actually is. I’m assuming if you don’t have a drive thru it’s way more plausible 🤔

So my store doesn't have a drive thru. My hat covers my ears
I think I just need to keep the volume low enough that I can hear my partners across the floor ? And/or keep only 1 earbud in?
I might not do it depending on who the SSV on duty is or if my SM is in store.

Enjoy all those other moments you can grab! Also if you volunteer to be support or wash dishes, that’s the best time because you’re moving around a lot

So I've got pink wireless earbuds I wear every day, I've got longer hair that hides it but I'll wear a beanie and a drive thru headset over my earbud so it's hidden. As long as our sm isn't there I'll do this for the majority of every shift I work (I usually close)
