So this lady got a caramel macchiato and wanted a side of cream, so i rung it up as a short cup of cream since her drink already came with milk, then she started yelling at me because they never do that to her. I just want to know if that’s the correct way to ring it up

if she only wants a side, i would just ring it up as Cream 1/2” and leave an ask me to put it on the side. if she wants more than that then you should charge her but i have some espresso drinks where i like a splash of cream in addition to the 2% so imo it’s kind of like that

did you ring it in on the left side so it would charge her? i always ring it in as a splash in a short cup so it’s free, maybe she’s mad because she’s never been charged before ?

you can give them a pup cup of cream for free but a whole short cup I’d have to let the customer know they’re paying for a short cup of milk and change the milk to cream. if they’re fine with that then go ahead and fill it. if not then just do a pup cup.

Why charge her for cream? That seems petty to me as it’s only cream and we work for a multi million dollar corporation that doesn’t give a shit about us. At my store we always just give people stuff like that in a short cup for free

i usually wouldn’t care but she immediately had an attitude with me then started yelling… over milk, lmao so she can pay for her cream

You only charge if it's more than 4 oz (so about half a short cup). If she just wanted a splash then it's totally fine
