help remembering drink recipes(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by turkeyandhamber
sooooo i’m a green bean and i open basically every shift so i’ve had little to no practice on bar. sometimes i’ll get thrown on for like 30 minutes at the end of my shift and guys, i am so lost. i know the basics but the slightly different things throw me off. like how much puree or peach juice do you add? how many pumps go into iced coffees? what goes into our cream cold brews? i feel so annoying asking things that i probably should know. i’m just so lost. pls help

Definitely check out quizlet. You didn't hear it from me but I just use the same measurement for strawberry puree. The very bottom of iced cups has a line, use that to measure puree or peach juice.

what about when it’s in a shaker?

The shakers should have a measurement line for juices in between the base line and the water/lemonade/etc line if I’m not mistaken.

Don't pour directly into because you need to measure. Like when you make Frappuccino you don't Starr with putting ingredients into blender directly, you measure with lines of the cup and then pour.

It’s hard to put newer baristas on bar until it’s slowed down because usually we don’t have an extra body to help. Ask your shift to print you out the shot/ syrup pump cheat sheet on the hub. Also you can download the Starbucks app and it will tell you how many pumps and shots go into each drink when you click on them. It will come with time, if you feel really lost ask your SM to get some extra training time again.

You can always identify the menu items that you're not confident on and look at the recipe cards before you clock out.
