im pretty sure sb recognizes xmas day, new yrs day, thanksgiving day, and a couple other “day”s. you dont get 1 1/2 on the eves

which i think is dumb as shit cuz im abt to go in for a shift today n i was hoping it was holiday pay (:::

I agree, eves should be recognized as holidays. they are in the sense of closing early/opening late, so like why isn't it time and a half? Sbux can 100% afford it. They are one of the richest companies in cooperate America and yet act so cheap.

I wanted to work Xmas eve and nye, but both were Saturdays this year and I put Saturdays as my automatic off day, aka no availability, so i wasn't scheduled and now im glad I didn't work. I both heard and saw how busy my store was, chrismtas day too, they were rushing people out for almost 30 minutes after close, so although I missed out on extra bank it was not worth it

I'm sorry you had to work. Call off tomorrow if you're scheduled if anything. Dont let this job ruin your good time, it's just a job

damn i would've given you both my shifts 😭 would seriously consider calling out tomorrow if i didn't open. the idea of calling out is gonna get me through my shift though thank you
