This is just something I didn’t know and am not used to. I didn’t know other stores need my ID to use my discount. Ofc I understand so they know it’s no rando being an imposter, but I haven’t seen other stores do it, mine included. Is this a rule we’re all supposed to follow or is it specific stores?

I usually dont ID partners because I read about someone being outed in a really cruel way. I do ask the name. Lucky, I know most of the partners that work in the area, so it’s usually not an issue.

Yeah you’re technically supposed to. We don’t do it much anymore at my store but we were stiff with it whenever we had someone using partner numbers that weren’t theirs and the partner got fired for it. And if you’re a barista who like accepts that it can possibly come back to you or you can be asked about it as part of the investigation.

it’s on the partner handbook , yes if you go to another store it is required for you to either show ID or your partner card in the app . if you show your partner card on the app , ID isn’t required . many baristas don’t follow , but it is policy .

I actually did show my partner card but they didn’t take it. Oh well. Thank you for explaining

It’s a rule for all stores, but not everyone knows or cares to.
