If I currently use Android and become blind and need to use a Braille display could I just switch to iPhone since Android doesn’t have usable Braille display support and unless this happens can I just continue using Android devices? (self.Blind)

I’ve never used a braille display with Android, but I would be very surprised if it doesn’t work.
$1
It looks like you may need to install this Braille Back feature first. Android can be kind of annoying because on some phones you have to download an accessibility feature pack, and it looks like that’s what’s happening with Braille Back.
The Humanware Braille Note Touch runs on Android, so I’d be surprised if no other Android device supported braille displays.

Yes. iPhone has way better accessibility features overall

I just worry I won’t be able to afford an iPhone.

A brand new iPhone SE starts at $400, cheaper if you trade in your old phone. And of course you can buy used if you want something cheaper than that.

Even older models can be bought second hand refurbished for $100-200, and work just fine with decent features and as long as they run iOS 13 or up, have all the accessibility features you’ll need
